Specimen Analysis

Once the specimen is collected, properly labeled, and looged in the master patient specimen log it is ready for analysis. Many of the specimens are received in the physician office and then referred out to a reference laboratory. Most of the waivered laboratories are peformed in the physician office. The larger a physician office the more likely it will be offering on-site Medium or High Complexity testing. The work is somewhat different depening on where the laboratory is being analyzed.
