I have been an Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology at Columbia University Medical Center, NY Presbyterian Medical Center since 1992, and became a full time faculty member in 2008-2013. In 2000. I set up my own private practice with an EMR called DrsNotes. When I returned in 2008 to the faculty practice the hospital was about to go live with the Eclypsis and the faculty practice with Allscripts enterprise products. My return was perfect timing for setting up the ENT Specialty- specific structured templates for both systems. I also have Epic experience from my association with Hackensack University Medical Center. I am HL7 Certified as of July 2014 I have become certified in Health Informatics at Columbia University. I am a member of AMIA, HIMSS, and AHIMA, and AMDIS and sit of some of their national workgroups. I am active in the SHIN-NY eHealth Initiatives here in NY.
