MU Requirements
Meaningful Use Measures:
Performed at least one test of certified EHR technology's capacity to provide electronic syndromic surveillance data to public health agencies (unless none of the public health agencies to which an EP submits such information have the capacity to receive the information electronically).
Certification Criteria for EHR:
Electronically record, retrieve, and transmit syndrome-based (e.g., influenza like illness) public health surveillance information to public health agencies in accordance with the standards specified in Table 2A row 7: HL7 2.3.1 or HL7 2.5.1.
Proposed Solution
- Create a report that lists all patients with a given diagnosis (choice of diagnosis from a drop down list that includes all diagnoses in the OpenEMR database)
- The user needs the ability to select multiple diagnoses to be included in the report.
- From the report screen provide the ability to generate and save a HL7 v 2.51 or v 2.31 file that has all of the information in the report.
The HL7 Report must meet ARRA specifications and pass CCHIT review.
