With an amazing mood able to excite the most indecisive, Omar Sanchez, best known for his role as Mr. Tech, gave a talk to an attentive audience, mostly young Mayagüez Campus (RUM), on the theme that dominates and is passionate about: technology.
The expert was invited by the School Technology Innovation Center (TIC) of the Faculty of Business Administration to discuss the challenge of small and medium enterprises in acquiring technologies. According to its director, Dr. Aury M. Curbelo, this is the first of a series of activities planned to promote both innovation and technological security.
"The Centre has begun to make some agreements with Mr. Tech to serve as practical laboratory for students interested in developing business ideas related to technology areas, "advanced the Dr. Curbelo, while stressing that one of the objectives of the Centre is to promote corporate governance through interaction among students, educators , consultants and stakeholders on the new challenges of the field.
Ring finger was the presentation of Sanchez who, after giving a brief background of his career, he focused on explaining his 12 favorite tools available on the Internet to build a business. Though suitable for anyone, the talk this time focused on the group of young university entrepreneurs, mostly students of Business Administration, with dreams of building his own company.
"It's difficult to start a business nowadays and much more when we have to make sacrifices and investments have to borrow to perhaps not having the knowledge we fall and we frustrate those ideas," said the speaker, who advised future entrepreneurs to develop their concept ripen slowly and in stages to full power.
"The number of bankruptcies is in Puerto Rico and the number of young people who borrow and are pilla'os is immense. I think we can alleviate that with these tools, you do not have to invest. That's my goal: to better orient themselves and are masters of what they want to be in the future, "he said.
From tools to create mind maps on business ideas, to measure the tastes and needs of the audience, to train employees for bookkeeping, for group conferences and even monitor the talk on social media on a business are some of which are available online and selected Sánchez for his talk.
This technology guru first began his studies at the Río Piedras Campus of the University of Puerto Rico and then moved to Georgia Tech, where he earned his BA and his MA. Today is the systems administrator for Radio Isla 1320, participates in a school project which encourages the use of technology and is the driver and founder of The TECHNOTRON, the biggest event of Puerto Rico dedicated to showing technology products and services .
Perhaps one of the more facets that has become known is his work as a specialist topic in different segments such as radio programs and Pelúa The Goldo and Die, both of La Mega.
"In the media there are many skilled people to talk about technology, but unlike Mr. Tech is having lived in environments and societies that depend on technology for their progress, their social organization, that is not the same as you being a lover of technology. I see it from the point of view. For me the technology, and make life easier, is the perfect complement between society and the individual, "said the expert, who says that link is even able to lower the crime rate of a country.
One of the advice offered to young people is to begin to develop ideas and concepts that are truly related to their talents and passions. Indeed, Mr. Tech as an example The TECHNOTRON, a virtual company he rode quickly and hopes to provide a Puerto Rico status technological needs.
