ZH Healthcare Contributions

ZH Healthcare is active in the OpenEMR community for years and have contributed extensively to the OpenEMR project making it one of the premier open source EMR in the world today. We can honestly claim that we are the OpenEMR vendor with the maximum number of provider clients. In the past year alone the following contributions can be noted:

• Provided the new interface to OpenEMR.
• eRx Integration with new crop to achieve ONC ATCB certification.
• The advanced payment system that enables the posting and processing of payor payments under practice management
• The new billing manager that make it easy to navigate, sort and submit claims.
• The offsite patient portal that allows patient to access their data, request appointments, sign and fill forms, communicate with their doctors and make payments online. Any OpenEMR user in the world can connect to the patient portal at https://mydocsportal.com.
• Nation notes: A template based rich text editor has revolutionized the way users are charting their client visits.
• CCR CCD Features with xml download has been key to achieving the ONC certification
• Calendar modifications
• Multiple billing facility feature that we contributed enabled OpenEMR to be used by larger practices with multiple locations. Until then it was used mostly by small single provider practices.
• We have also been key in developing the HL-7 Interface using MIRTH.

ZHOpenEMR

ZH Healthcare branded its own version of OpenEMR called ZHOpenEMR and is certified:See Certificate or See listing on ONCHIT site.

ZHOpenEMR has further enhanced OpenEMR and made it on par, if not better, than other commercial products.

Some of the key features:

• Cloud based hosted.
• Fully configured eRx, Labs, Codes, Patient portal and backup features.
• Patient portal enabled
• Advanced charts and templates with referral letter templates.
• Advanced practice management features which includes detailed ledger, customizable reports, configurable fee sheets per provider or per practice.
• Integrated Voice Response System for appointment reminders.

We have also been key in developing custom enhancements for several practices. The Chairman of ZH Healthcare, Shameem C Hameed, is also the Board Member of the oemr non-profit organization.
